A Little Girl - by Nainisa Misra

She was innocent once, but the demon stole her innocence when she was just five.
He kept ravaging her body till the last drop of shame faded away.
She was numb and let it happen as she didn't know any better.
The marks on her skin burned for a very long time, creating a hole in her heart.
The hole in her heart kept growing all through her teenage years.
When she finally understood the true intentions of the demon, she retaliated.
She pushed the demon away, but the damage was done.
The shame never left her and even the hole in her heart kept growing until it consumed her completely.
She is now an adult, but the images of the horror have not left her yet.
The nightmares keep her awake at night, making her scream in agony.
Every touch of male around her makes her scared till now.
But she still chooses to smile and face the world with a brave face.
If you meet her, you will be greeted with the cheerful shelf, not the scared little girl.

Be the man you are not a demon,
Cause she too is a human and not a vessel for your desires.
