The 72nd Miss World Pageant was held in Hyderabad, India, and was scheduled to culminate in the grand finale on 31 May 2025, at the Hitex Exhibition Centre. Participants from all over the globe competed for the coveted crown. Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic, who won the title in 2023, crowned her successor at the event. Nandini Gupta from Kota, Rajasthan, was presenting India. Crowned Femina Miss India in 2023, Nandini is known for her unique blend of traditional values and modern aspirations. She has advanced to the top 40 and has been recognised as the Asia and Oceania winner in the Top Model Challenge.

The Pageant commenced on May 7 and featured various events including cultural tours, talent showcases, and renowned ‘’Beauty with Purpose’’ presentations, highlighting contestants' social initiatives. The grand finale was broadcast live on May 31. The panel of judges included actor Sonu Sood, who received the Miss World Humanitarian Award, Sudha Reddy, and Caryna Turell. Julia Morley, Chairwoman of the Miss World Organisation, presided over the jury. This year’s pageant emphasised Beauty with Purpose, highlighting contestants' social impact projects. Athenna Crosby (USA) advocated for autistic youth, Valeria Pérez (Puerto Rico) supported Down syndrome and deaf communities, and Monica Sembiring (Indonesia) focused on access to clean water.
Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand was
crowned Miss World 2025. The first runner-up was Hassrt Dereje Admassu from Ethiopia, the second runner-up was Maja Klajda from Poland, and the third runner-up was Aurelle Jochim from Martinique. Of the 108 participants, 40 advanced to the quarter-final, 10 from each of the four continental regions: Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean, Asia and Oceania, and
Europe.
