The conflict escalated with exchanges of drones and missiles between the two countries, which has heightened fears of regional instability. India has activated contingency plans similar to Operation Kaveri and Operation Ganga, highlighting its increasing diplomatic role in Asia. Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra confirmed that diplomatic talks are happening to secure necessary air routes for safe evacuation, and emergency helplines have been established for stranded citizens.

Monsoons drenched India early - relief or tragedy?

Monsoon has arrived early in India, over a week ahead of schedule, bringing surplus rainfall in the month of June. Floods in Himachal Pradesh have claimed lives, while central India is seeing heavy showers benefiting agriculture. Reservoir levels have risen, though some areas in northwest India have received less rainfall. The heavy rains brought most parts of the country to a standstill. Metropolitan cities like Mumbai and Kolkata drew attention as the intense pre-monsoon rains once again highlighted the vulnerable infrastructure. An anti-cyclonic system is blocking the monsoon's arrival in Delhi. The India Meteorological Department had forecast the arrival of the monsoon in Delhi on June 24. But the forecast failed, raising concerns over water shortages and delayed crop sowing.

India vs England: the ultimate cricket test series 2025

India vs England is a five-match Test series (Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy), played across Headingley, Leeds, followed by Edgbaston (Birmingham), Lord's (London), Emirates Old Trafford (Manchester), and finally Kennington Oval (London). The teams continue their fierce rivalry in an exciting test series in 2025. Some low-scoring thrillers have resulted from the pitches' general preference for spinners. With their audacious declarations and tactical bowling adjustments, captains Ben Stokes and Rohit Sharma have demonstrated strategic acumen. According to the recent statistics - England is 269/4 at Tea on Day 5 and is chasing a target of 371 runs; they need to win by 102 runs.
