The question of Women’s safety arises again amid the
viral Manipur Video
The whole Country is outraged after a video on May 4 got viral on social media, showing men from one tribal group parading two women naked from the other tribal community.
This incident took place after the ethnic violence that erupted between the Kuki and Meitei communities on May 3, which resulted in over 150 deaths and displaced more than 40,000 people. Thousands of weapons and hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition were looted from police armories, and are still in the possession of the public. Manipur’s Chief Minister Biren Singh has appealed to the public to surrender the looted weapons, and FIRs have been filed to track the type and quantity of weapons taken from police armoires.
On July 20th PM Narendra Modi finally spoke about the Manipur incident, calling it "shameful for any civilized society" and urging all state Chief Ministers to strengthen laws on women and their safety. Thousands of people have protested against the assault on the women.

ISRO’s launched Chandrayaan 3 on 14th July 2023. It
aims to reach the South Pole of the moon in 40 days. In the event of achievement India will be the 4th Country to have a soft landing
on the moon.
According to reports, the
spacecraft has successfully completed its fourth and fifth orbit-raising
manoeuvres. The fourth orbit-raising manoeuvre was completed on July 19, and
the fifth and final Earth-bound orbit-raising manoeuvre was performed on July
25, marking a crucial phase in its lunar trajectory that is expected to touch
down on the moon on August 23 or 24. The successful completion of the
orbit-raising manoeuvres has brought the mission closer to its goal of landing
on the Moon's south pole.

The alliance formed by the 26 Opposition parties ‘INDIA’ (Indian
National Developmental, Inclusive Alliance), to take on NDA in 2024.
11-member coordination committee to be set up by the alliance to
constitute a consensus position on various issues faced by the country under
NDA rule. At the next Opposition meeting to be held in Mumbai, the dates are
yet to be announced the committee’s composition will be finalised.
“This was a very important meeting to save democracy and the
Constitution in the interest of the people of the country,” said Congress
president Mallikarjun Kharge.

for states like Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat.
An orange alert has been issued for the states of Uttarakhand,

alert has been sounded for states including Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya

The Yamuna River again uprising the danger mark causing tension among
victims of the Delhi flood.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rain
at isolated places in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh until July 22. Several
places in Himachal Pradesh are still facing flash floods and
many vehicles have been washed out also people have lost their lives.

CBSE encourages the use of multilingualism as a medium of instruction
The Central Board of Secondary Education
(CBSE) has asked its schools to consider using Indian languages as
optional mediums of instruction following the National Education Policy (NEP)
2020. Most of the schools used to use English as their medium of instruction.
Hindi was also used in some. The NEP 2020 endorse the use of the mother tongue
and local languages and believes it will help in developing young leaders.
Education Ministry has directed NCERT to prepare new textbooks in
22 scheduled languages, which could be available to students from the next
sessions.
The education minister tweeted, “Well-done @cbseindia29" on CBSE's decision. This is a laudatory step towards encouraging education in the mother
tongue and Indian languages in schools.
