JournaScreen is back with a few recommendations with a bunch of new international releases. 

Free Guy 


Shawn Levy, is the director of the film “Free Guy”. The Canadian director, producer who is popular among the audience for his works like Stranger Things (2016), Real Steel (2011), and the Night at the Museum franchise.  

Free Guy is an American film, based on the screenplay by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn. The plot revolves around an online open world video game: “Free City”, developed by Soonami Games. A Bank teller discovers he’s actually a background player in an open world video game, and then he decides to become the hero of his own story. 

He is there in a world where there are no limits. 

If you are a Sci-fi lover and waiting to watch something grand on the big screen, then grab the opportunity of watching this in the theatres. It is releasing on 17th September in 2D, IMAX 2D screens. You can watch the movie either in Hindi or in English. 

Jungle Cruise  


Walt Disney Pictures is back with another venture directed by Jaume Collet Serra. It is based on Walt Disney’s eponymous theme park attraction. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramirez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons and Paul Giamatti. It follows the captain of a small riverboat who takes a scientist and her brother through a jungle in search of The Tree of life.  

In this movie the main attraction for the audience is that after a long time we would see Dwayne Johnson as Frank Wolff on the big screen. The characters of this movie are hugely inspired from “Indiana Jones”. Disney also made an announcement that Le Fou, the famous villainous henchmen would be one of their first official gay live action characters, who was featured previously in Beauty and the Beast. The best part of this adventure is that it will be featuring jokes from the original Jungle Cruise Ride. 

It will be releasing on the big screens only in English (2D) on 24th September, 2021. 

Don’t Breathe 2  


Stephen Lang’s starrer “Don’t Breathe 2” is all set to release in theatres on 17th September, 2021. Stephen Lang is reprising his role from the original movie which released back in 2016. It will be releasing in four languages – English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telegu. 

Stephen Lang returns as a blind man in the sequel to Don’t Breathe. The movie also stars Brendan Sexton III and Madelyn Grace in pivotal roles

In the sequel we would watch him raising a new daughter after losing his beloved child. Norman Nordstrom will be seen fighting against the illicit human organs trafficking. Rodo Sayagues is directing the movie and it will be released exclusively by Sony Pictures. 

It is all set to release on September 17 in theatres and we hope that thriller and horror lovers will definitely love the movie. 

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie on Amazon Prime 


Jonathan Butterell has directed the film from a screenplay by Tom MacRae . The film stars newcomer Max Harwood. The film was originally scheduled to be release on 23rd October 2020 but was postponed to 22nd January 2021 by Disney due to the pandemic. 

But again, it was postponed and later they sold the distribution rights to Amazon Studios. 

In this movie we will see Jamie New, a 16 year old, dreams of becoming a drag queen. Although he is uncertain about his future, Jamie knows it for sure that one day he will be a sensation.

With the support from his parents and friends, Jamie overcomes all the prejudices, beats out all the bullies and becomes successful. 

It will be premiered on Amazon Prime on 17th September, 2021. 

Sex Education - (Season 3) on Netflix 


After the two successful seasons of Sex Education, Netflix is back with the new season of Sex Education. It will be aired on Netflix on 17th September, 2021. 

The series created by Laurie Nunn and produced by Eleven, Sex Education shows Moordale high school student Otis Milburn, who is the son of sex therapist Jean Milburn opens up a secret sex therapy clinic at school along with fellow classmate Maeve Wiley. 

In the previous season it is already shown that Otis is still in love with Maeve and never really wanted to be with Ola.In the second season we have also seen Otis leaves a voicemail for Maeve where he apologizes for everything and confesses that he loves her. We have also seen that Maeve’s new friend and love interest Isaac deletes Otis’s voicemail before Maeve even has a chance to hear it. 

In Season 3 we are really looking forward what happen next, whether Otis’s message will reach Maeve or not? In the trailer of Season, we have seen that Moordale High School welcomes new headmistress, “Hope Haddon”. Season 3 also welcomes new cast members like Jason Isaacs, Dua Saleh and Indra Ove. 

Let’s see as the previous seasons, whether Season 3 can live up to our expectations.
