On 20th August 1897 British Doctor Sir Ronald Ross discovered that Female mosquitoes spread Malaria between humans. To commemorate this discovery The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine celebrates this day every year as World Mosquito Day with parties and exhibition and the tradition is yet continuing since the 1930s.
