Mimi- (Movie)

The film was initially scheduled to be released on July 30, although it was released on July 26 in Jio Cinemas and Netflix. Under the direction of Laxman Utekar, and Kriti Sanon as “Mimi” has given an extraordinarily fantastic performance.

The story of Mimi revolves around a small-town girl who dreams of being a Bollywood actress in the future. However, she needs money to fulfil her dreams. Mimi gets an offer for surrogacy for a foreign couple which leads to a beautiful pure story of motherhood.

The extraordinary performances by Pankaj Tripathi, Manoj Pahwa and others have taken Mimi to just another level of positivity.

However, in “Mimi”, Kriti is the only protagonist, which has got her the entire limelight to fulfil our expectations. Moreover, Pankaj Tripathi as always has left the audience speechless with his performance.

A.R Rahman’s music composing has added a cherry on the top. The melody queen, Shreya Ghoshal’s voice in 'Param Sundari' can and A.R Rahman’s in 'Rihaayi De' can take you to a space where pain, sacrifices, wait, prayer and love meet one another.

Murder in the Hills- (Webseries)

The eight-episode series directed by Anjan Dutt, which is his first directed series in Bengali, is a gem. We are familiar with Anjan Dutt as a singer-songwriter, but if we analyze him as a director from his previously directed movies, be it "The Bong Connection," "Chalo Lets Go," "Madly Bangalee," or any other, we see special treatment of human feelings, their sorrow, depression, loss, pain, happiness, through music. He gives a belief to his audience that – "Music can heal everything."

But we get a totally different Anjan Dutt as a director of the series, where he plotted a murder mystery in the queen of hills – 'Darjeeling.' As we all know that Anjan Dutt has a unique emotion for Darjeeling as he has grown up in a boarding school in Darjeeling. So this time, he gets out of his comfort zone and represents himself as the director and the protagonist of the series. But the remarkable thing about the mystery is that, as the director, as we all know, he can effortlessly portray feelings in his lyrics, the same way he has also kept a place of emotion in a thrilling murder mystery. It's basically about a murder of a celebrity on his birthday that takes place in Darjeeling.

The webseries is available on Hoichoi.

The Suicide Squad- (Movie)

We are quite sure that the DC Lovers are waiting for “The Suicide Squad” which is releasing on August 5, 2021. The tenth film of the DC Extended Universe is directed by James Gunn (of Marvel's "Guardian's of the Galaxy" fame).

Belongs To Me (Documentary):

It's a beautiful Brazilian Documentary directed by Marcos Pimente. The documentary portrays the dreams and desires of ordinary people. This is basically about people's regular lifestyle, ambitions, pleasures, sadness, etc.

He crafts beauty through the fulfilment of the small personal dreams of the people. The extraordinary way of storytelling, cinematography just grabs up the audience and gives them the chance to live in the characters.
